As per the information provided by the Registry Department on the afternoon of December 26, vehicles will still receive certificates for technical safety and environmental protection inspections even for minor errors deemed unimportant.
Circular No. 16/2021 from the Ministry of Transport outlines the guidelines for motor vehicle inspections. It classifies defects and damages into three categories: minor defects (MiD), major defects (MaD), and dangerous defects (DD).
The significance of the vehicle’s issue is not relevant as MiD is still granted an inspection certificate. However, vehicles with MaD and DD errors will be declined for inspection.
This circular contains a list of MiD errors that are still being issued with inspection certificates.
