GAC Aion, one of China’s top five automobile manufacturers, has recently unveiled China’s very first electric supercar.
The newly launched electric supercar, known as Hyper SSR, boasts incredible specifications, with an astounding 1,225 horsepower and a maximum torque of 12,000 Nm. What sets the Hyper SSR apart is its mind-boggling acceleration, going from 0 km/h to 100 km/h in a mere 1.9 seconds, crowning it the fastest car on the planet. Notably, the Hyper SSR’s engine outperforms even the renowned Bugatti Veyron supercar in terms of power.
Lucid Air just unveiled their latest model, the Sapphire Edition, which features a three-motor configuration and can achieve an acceleration time of under two seconds. However, it’s worth noting that the Sapphire Edition has slightly lower specifications compared to GAC’s Hyper SSR, as it offers a capacity of 1200HP and a torque of 10,000Nm.
Hyper SSR not only boasts a powerful engine but also sports a striking angular design. Its body panels are crafted from carbon fiber, giving it an eye-catching appearance.
The taillights and spoiler are the reason behind the sleek design of the car’s rear. The door opens up like wings to add to its unique design. LED headlights form an elegant L shape. Additionally, the Hyper SSR is fitted with surveillance cameras for added security.
The details regarding the distance this car can cover on a single charge have not been revealed as of now.
At present, GAC Aion is offering customers the option to reserve the vehicle, with deliveries anticipated to commence in October 2023.
Customers have the option to choose between two configurations for this electric supercar: The Aion Hyper SSR Ultimate, priced at 1.68 million yuan (equivalent to 240,000 USD or 5.7 billion VND), and the Aion Hyper SSR, priced at 1.28 million yuan (equivalent to 183,000 USD or 4.4 billion VND).
